I recently had the pleasure of speaking with @Teresa Degenhardt for the special issue of Criminological Encounters on how a feminist lens helps make sense of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. We discussed war not only as geopolitics and violence, but also as something that reshapes bodies, care, responsibility, and everyday moral choices.
As always, rereading my own words, I catch myself thinking “I could have phrased that better.” But maybe that’s part of doing scholarship in real time, in the middle of events that still hurt and matter deeply.
If you’re interested in feminist perspectives on war, responsibility, and how knowledge is produced under conditions of crisis, you can read the interview here: https://criminologicalencounters.org/index.php/crimenc/article/view/188
